Here are the examples of my past academic works embedded. I enjoy writing in general, and while I first declared Humanistic Studies as a major to pursue creative writing, I found other interests such as Art History and Intellectual History.
Research databases for me are not bound only to printed books, but also to medical journals, exhibition plaques, and contemporary news articles.
Creative Writing, Research Papers, Art History Papers
LONDON EXHIBITION REVIEWS
While I was studying abroad in London for summer of 2019, I visited 14 gallery / museum exhibitions to write series of reviews. Out of the 14, here are my top 5.
INTERPRETIVE PAPER ON PAPYRUS OF ANI
When studying artworks and artifacts related to "death and memorial", I focused and studied one of the best surviving Book of the Dead: Papyrus of Ani.
INFECTIOUS DISEASE RESEARCH
Studying Black Death in History and Literature, when I was prompted to choose an infectious disease and research and analyze how it affected culture and society, I chose the MERS outbreak in Korea.
In Humanistic Studies major seminar, we select one word and expand/interpret in any way possible to write a research paper. For the word "tolerance", I analyze ways how intolerance and tolerance were present throughout history, and how there should be a balance of both.
